Each fall, the Department of Alaska Native Studies and Rural Development at UAF offers a seminar style course that focuses on Indigenous perspectives on leadership. The Circumpolar Indigenous Leadership Symposium provides an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to become immersed in a dynamic learning environment which is facilitated by a team that includes two faculty and an elder advisor. This fall, a group of 19 students participated in the Symposium which took place October 1-6 in the Anchorage area.
